Lesley Greening Lassoff studied Fine Art at the City Literary Institute and University of Westminster. After a career in urban community arts and social engagement she now lives and works in rural East Sussex.
Her work reflects diverse interests - the natural world, folklore, people, society, mythology, place - always referring to ideas of home within the landscape.
Informed by photographs, books and drawings her paintings are pared back, subjective interpretations of personal concerns and visual experience.
She is interested in the material process and language of painting, working in the strangeland between representation and abstraction.
She has exhibited as both a solo practitioner and collaborator, and her work is held in private collections in the UK and USA, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Bethlem Museum of the Mind.
